Forum Rules + Code of Conduct

Be excellent to each other, keep the format tight, and help moderators keep the space healthy.

These guidelines apply to posts, usernames, avatars, and DMs sent through /jank/.

Core rules

Be respectful

Debate ideas, not people. No insults, dogpiling, or hostility.

No harassment or hate

Zero tolerance for targeted harassment, hate speech, or threats.

Keep it legal

No illegal content, explicit threats, or instruction to harm.

Stay on topic

Keep posts relevant to the board and thread goals.

No spam

Don’t post repetitive, promotional, or low-effort noise.

Protect privacy

No doxxing or sharing private info without consent.

Healthy discussion practices

Use descriptive titles and include context in opening posts.
Critique the list, not the player. Offer alternatives when possible.
Flag spoilers and sensitive topics with a short warning.
Report problems instead of escalating in-thread.

Moderation and enforcement

Moderators may remove posts or threads that violate these rules, lock threads to cool down discussion, and issue warnings or bans depending on severity and pattern of behavior.

If you see a problem, use the report button on a post. Include a short reason so moderators can act fast.

Appeals and questions

If you think a moderation action was a mistake, contact the mod team with a link and a brief explanation. We’ll review it and follow up as quickly as we can.
